Caregiver Position

Morning, Afternoon and Overnight Shifts Available!

Pearl’s House is a boutique-style residential assisted living home dedicated to providing high-quality, personalized care for our senior residents. We are looking for compassionate Caregivers to join our team and support a 1:5 caregiver-to-resident ratio to ensure individualized attention and excellent service.

As a Caregiver, you will assist residents with daily living activities, prepare nutritious meals, maintain a clean and safe environment, and foster a warm, home-like atmosphere where seniors can thrive.

Key Responsibilities: Resident Care & Daily Living Assistance

✅ Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
✅ Provide medication reminders (per state guidelines).
✅ Assist residents with transfers, repositioning, and mobility support (including use of walkers, wheelchairs, and lifts if needed).
✅ Encourage and assist with light physical activity and social engagement.

Housekeeping & Facility Maintenance

✅ Maintain clean and organized resident rooms and common areas.
✅ Perform laundry services including washing, folding, and distributing personal items.
✅ Ensure restrooms, kitchen, and shared spaces are sanitary and well-stocked.

Meal Preparation & Nutrition

✅ Prepare three balanced meals and snacks daily following dietary needs and resident preferences.
✅ Assist residents with feeding when necessary.
✅ Monitor hydration and dietary intake to ensure residents' health.

Resident Engagement & Emotional Support

✅ Create a positive, home-like atmosphere and provide companionship.
✅ Facilitate daily activities and social interactions.
✅ Monitor and report changes in residents' physical or emotional health to leadership.

Safety & Emergency Response

✅ Ensure compliance with Tennessee assisted living regulations and Pearl’s House policies.
✅ Assist with emergency procedures, including fire safety and severe weather response.
✅ Follow infection control and safety protocols at all times.

Qualifications & Requirements:

✅ Experience as a caregiver, CNA, or home health aide preferred (but willing to train the right candidate).
✅ Ability to cook, clean, and perform household tasks in a residential setting.
✅ Compassionate and patient personality with a passion for senior care.
✅ Must be able to lift 50 lbs and assist with mobility support.
✅ Basic understanding of senior care needs, dementia care, or memory support is a plus.
✅ CPR & First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
✅ Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
